General

Electronic drum kits continue to be a popular alternative to acoustic kits and while they offer a number of advantages, the fact that you usually need to play with a set of headphones on isn't one of them. It doesn't make them ideal for band rehearsals or performances either. To use your electronic kit in situations like that, you'll need a drum monitor just like Roland's PM-200. This monitor has been fine-tuned for Roland's V-Drums, but will work with any electronic drums or percussion pads.

The PM-200 has 180 watts of power on board giving it enough oomph for use on stage as well as in the studio or at home. The 12-inch speaker and horn tweeter combine to produce a clear, full-range sound. The integrated mixer allows you to adjust the bass and treble as required. If you're using Roland's V-Drums, you can make use of the special V-Drums input and otherwise you use the stereo jack and mini jack line inputs. That means you can also connect a computer, a tablet or a smartphone. The PM-200 is also equipped with two XLR outputs so that you can connect it directly to a mixer, a recording device or a PA system.
